Style Groceries: Fall Trend Report
School is in session, the sub-polar point is on the equator, the trees are dying and the air is getting crispier by the hour. This means Fall! With autumn in full swing, its about time we put aside those summer trends and reel in the new fall report. This season, designers are inspiring us with exotic prints and sweater dresses, power suits and bold hues. It’s the fall of the fearless fashionista!
The Top Four Style Groceries (worth buying and adding to your own Fall 2012 collection) this Fall:
1.Oxblood coloured things… Be it jeans or dresses, jackets or scarves, bags or neck warmers. Fashion know-it-all’s are raving over this rich colour.Photo- Pixie Market.

Style Groceries: Red Carpet Essentials
Picture this: Its Sunday evening (tonight’s the Emmy’s), you step out of the limo wearing a sparkling silver evening gown. Your hair is curled and pinned up to the side in an elegant messy bun. Your wearing the earrings your grandmother gave you for graduation. Your eye makeup is stunning, (really bringing the colour out of your eyes ;)). Your lips are full and glossed up, but you should probably add an extra coat… but wears your clutch? and wouldn’t a ring look nicer with your grandmothers earrings? And why does your head feel so heavy, how many pins did you put in anyways? And wait a minute, your nails, they’re so blah…
The same way food groceries are necessary for survival, style items are essential to an outfit.

For those of you who may be trekking through London, and backpacking through the UK for the Olympics I made a list of Style Groceries you may or may not need, whilst in the UK for the games…

Style Groceries: Hi-lo Skirts
Mullet skirts, hi-lo skirts, up seam skirts, asymmetrical skirts, dip hem skirts- whatever you call them, these skirts are all the rage this season. I personally like hi-lo skirts because they’re a two in one piece, great for casual and semi-formal attire. Usually I’m faced with the dilemma of choosing to wear either a maxi skirt or a mini skirt, but with hi-lo skirts I’ve got the option of wearing both (at the same time 😉 ). The asymmetrical train of fabric adds a sense of elegance to any outfit. Here are a few of my favorite hi-lo skirts…

Printed accessories are über trendy this season. I’m seeing printed jeans, printed sunglasses, and printed watches everywhere- however, my favorite printed accessories are wallets.
